Workshops for Confirmands
LCS’s Workshops for Confirmands are provided to enhance the confirmation ministry of local congregations. These workshops take place in a variety of settings, ranging from nursing homes to multi-cultural and inter-faith settings. By participating in these events confirmands have an opportunity to experience faith in action and to explore their own faith practice in relation to others from a different culture or religion.
Each workshop varies according to the venue. Most workshops run 2 1/2 hours and take place on Sunday afternoons. However, there are some after-school events, Friday evening Synagogue services, and a Food Pantry experience which is held on a Saturday. Request a schedule for exact locations, times and dates.
LCS charges a non-refundable registration fee of $5.00 per youth for contributing congregations; $6.50 per youth for non-contributing congregations.
