Parish Secretaries
Parish secretaries and administrators provide a vital ministry in the life of the congregation. These individuals are often the first person a new resident encounters after moving into the community; the person who fields the call when a traumatic event has occurred to an individual or family in the congregation; and the one who is responsible for meeting the deadlines of the Sunday bulletin or monthly newsletter despite complications that may arise during the process.
LCS understands that skilled parish secretaries and administrators are an integral part of the effective administration of a congregation. Our seminar can help train and improve these individuals to provide them with what they need to perform at their best.
The Parish Secretaries’ Seminar
LCS coordinates a 1 ½ day ecumenical, educational event every fall at a hotel/conference center.
This seminar provides opportunities to:
• Strengthen work skills needed in the modern office
• Network with other secretaries/administrators
• Share newsletters, bulletins, guidelines, office manuals
• Grow spiritually
