Welcome

Lutheran Congregational Services is a social ministry organization of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We are committed to working with congregations to provide the support and coordination essential to effectively care for those in need. LCS uses a hands-on approach to identify the needs of your congregation and the wider community in order to equip your congregation with the tools necessary to answer its call to serve Christ.

Helpful Tips for Congregations Regarding the Upcoming Flu Season

Congregations can play a vital role in making sure that their members and local communities are well informed regarding best practices for what promises to be one of the more challenging flu seasons in recent memory.  The government has made available information for meetings and religious gatherings and more generalized information for community and faith based organizations.  Helpful information is available for congregations that operate shelters, soup kitchens, preschools, day care centers and a variety of other community based ministries.  As people of faith we need to encourage everyone, especially those who are the most vulnerable people in our midst, to get both the regular flu shot and the H1N1 immunization

If you have further questions, please contact our Disaster Response and Preparedness Coordinator, Ruth Doty, at ruth@lutherancongregationalservices.org.
